We Need Volunteers!

We are looking for more volunteers for the Sunday and Vigil masses for the foreseeable future, since this situation is not going away any time soon. We need:
Ushers: to receive and accommodate our fellow parishioners. There should be ideally three ushers at each mass.
Given the fact that they will be directly interacting with the congregation, they should be 60 y.o. or younger and without any critical health condition. All of our masses are currently understaffed for ushers and we are happy to have your help for any mass time you are able to come!

Cleaners: anyone can help, as recommended by the authorities, with the after-mass cleaning of all the surfaces that come in contact with the people attending mass: pews, door handles, and all other surfaces and areas that are reasonably prone to be touched.

As per the recent mandate from the Archdiocese, Lectors, musicians and volunteers will have to have their temperature taken before every Mass they serve.

Volunteer Coordinator: Allison Fillo

(860) 227-6429

Please contact Allison ASAP if you are willing to volunteer. Be sure to tell her which role you want to volunteer for and which mass or masses you are available to help.

Letters from Cardinal Sean O'Malley Regarding the Killing of George Floyd and Racism

We ask that you use the following links to read the letters from the Cardinal to the people of the Archdiocese of Boston in response to the persisting evil of racism in this country.

Statement from the Roman Catholic Bishops of MA: July 23, 2020 - regarding police reform legislation

Homily from the Cardinal's Mass for Racial Justice: June 14, 2020

A Letter to the People of the Archdiocese of Boston on Racism: June 5, 2020 - see also the Vimeo link to watch the Cardinal's message

Statement on the killing of George Floyd: May 30, 2020
The USCCB has provided numerous resources on their website for the Catholic faithful community to reflect on our collective and individual roles in the prevailing sin of racism in the United States. Information about the Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism, videos from the Committee and Pope Francis, formal statements and guides from the USCCB are all available here in this link.

Emergency Support for Catholic Schools

Please click here to go to the Archdiocese's of Boston website and read Cardinal Sean’s message about Catholic Schools and the petition asking Governor Baker to help  support our schools with emergency financial aid through the federal CARES Act . You can sign this petition to help show your support for the Catholic schools, teachers, students, family and staff who are working hard to continue providing education and community under the constraints of the pandemic.

Collection and Offertory

Though this global crisis has created physical, spiritual and economic strain beyond compare, we ask those of you who are able to remember St. Clement through your weekly envelopes and OSV Online Giving. Collection baskets will not be passed around during Mass but will be stationed at the front of the church. We are encouraging everyone who can to utilize Online Giving in order to reduce cross-contacted objects, like the envelopes and cash.

We are inexpressibly thankful to you, our parishioners, for your generous commitment and dedication to the parish. We are proud of the courage, compassion and perseverance you have shown as brothers and sisters in Christ. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you and God Bless you!
