Every year, as we enter the month of October, we think of the Rosary, a beautiful traditional image of Our Lady of the Rosary, holding the Child Jesus in one arm and giving the Rosary to Saint Dominic with the other hand. That image tells us that the Rosary is a means given by Our Lady to humanity through Saint Dominic, so that God's children, through contemplating and meditating on the life of Jesus, may love Him and follow Him more and more each day.
Praying the Rosary is a familiar way of praying to almost all Catholic believers, whether clergy or laity. Through a long process in the history of the Church until the 16th century, the prayers and structure of the Rosary is perfected as they are today. Praying the Rosary helps us contemplate the outstanding milestones in the life of Jesus Christ from before Christmas to his suffering and glorious Resurrection; along with the image of the humble, virtuous and blessed Mother Mary. It can be said that the Rosary is a shortened version of the Bible for Christians.
